He/She/Midwife/Obstetrician/Husband/Partner

We do not wish to offend anyone with our use of the terms he or she when referring to people who may be involved in your pregnancy.  We are aware that not all pregnant women are married or having their child with a partner of either sex and that some women will be seen by only a midwife during their pregnancy whilst others will be cared for by an Obstetrician.  We also know that your baby will either be a boy or a girl so to reflect this we will interchange the use of he or she when referring to the Baby, Midwife or Obstetrician.  We will use the term husband or partner to refer to your birth partner or people who may be supporting you during this experience.
