Beverley Turner is a Daily Telegraph columnist and presenter of Bump Club on BBC Radio 5 Live. She is married to James Cracknell and is the founder of Beverley Turner’s Birth to Baby Antenatal Classes. What was your favourite part of being pregnant? Not having to hold my stomach in and having massive boobs! Any woman who has grown up in our era of skinny jeans must know the luxury of letting it all hang out – that was bliss. And, actually, sex was rather lovely in pregnancy. Nobody tells you about all that extra blood flowing […]
Interview with Jess from Mumzynot – The Yummy Mummy’s Bible Jess – 30 weeks pregnant What was your favourite part of being pregnant? My favourite part of being pregnant had to be the thicker hair and that pregnancy glow you get in the second trimester. I also loved dressing my bump and experimenting with different looks and styles. What was the worst bit about being pregnant? The chronic back pain I developed in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I could hardly walk which for me was torture as I hate sitting still. I also missed my wine terribly! […]
Interview with Tanya Mackay Kazeminy founder of Mama mio Skincare Range Tanya and the boys What was your favourite part of being pregnant? My favourite part of being pregnant was feeling like a superhero! I used to quip when anyone asked me what I had been up to that day – ‘Well I have been making a brain, central nervous system and lungs…. what have you done today?’ (ok, so clearly I was a little aggressive with hormones!) What was the worst bit about being pregnant? I think it was the fear of the unknown. It is […]
Interview with Louisa Van den Bergh of Lulubaby Antenatal Classes Louisa Van de Bergh What was your favourite part of being pregnant? Feeling my baby kick! So sweet to think of a little person in there kicking away. What was the worst bit about being pregnant? When he stopped kicking – I knew something wasn’t right and went into hospital. Within an hour he had been born by emergency c-section. Did you develop any strange cravings or strong aversions to anything? Nothing particularly strange, but needed stodge and masses of it. Did you find out […]
Postnatal Depression, My Experience – By Emma Ferres Emma Ferres When my mum suggested that I should introduce a formula feed to my 8 week old baby girl so that I could get some rest, I started to panic. I convinced myself she was suggesting I wasn’t feeding my child properly and this was her way of showing everyone else that I needed help. For a control freak who hates asking for help, the idea that someone else was going to feed my baby as I wasn’t coping on my own was a nightmare. I couldn’t believe that my own […]

Interview with Marina Fogle, co-founder of The Bump Class and wife of Ben Fogle What was your favourite part of being pregnant? Feeling the kicks starting – I was obsessed with those little flutters and remember spending a day literally lying on the sofa desperately trying to feel the kicks with my hands so that I could alert Ben. What was the worst bit about being pregnant? I had a miscarriage before I had Ludo and first time around I focussed a lot on the negatives of being pregnant but by the time I was pregnant again, I realised […]

Sleeping towards the end was hard and I didn’t love the uncomfortable feeling when you ate a big dinner! Not […]
